About
"I take a practical, solution-oriented approach with clients, helping them navigate complex, and often emotional, issues with a clear understanding of their options, risks, and potential outcomes."
— Lacey Spears
Lacey Spears is a litigation attorney who brings a unique combination of legal expertise and practical experience to every case. With over a decade of experience in the litigation process – first as a paralegal and now as an attorney – Lacey possesses an intimate understanding of case development from inception through resolution, allowing her to anticipate challenges and develop comprehensive strategies for her clients.
Lacey's path to becoming an attorney began during her undergraduate studies when she discovered her passion for the law while observing court proceedings. This early exposure led her to work as a litigation paralegal for ten years, providing her with invaluable hands-on experience in complex commercial litigation, including oil and gas, construction, employment, and personal injury matters. This extensive background gives her a practical perspective that enhances her ability to serve clients effectively.
"My clients refer me to their friends and colleagues because I know the law, communicate with compassion, and am detail oriented."
A magna cum laude graduate of South Texas College of Law Houston, Lacey graduated in the top 10 percent of her class and received multiple academic honors, including CALI Awards for achieving the highest grades in Contracts, Evidence, Payment Systems, and Criminal Procedure. Her exceptional performance in Evidence earned her both Langdell Scholar recognition and the John F. Ensel Award in Evidence.
Lacey enjoys the intellectual challenge that litigation presents, particularly the opportunity to strategize, problem-solve, and craft persuasive arguments. She excels at digging into the details of complex cases and developing clear narratives from intricate facts, helping clients understand their legal position and make informed decisions during challenging moments.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Penn State Harrisburg. When not serving clients, Lacey enjoys reading, attending live sporting events, and cheering on her best friend’s children at sporting events and dance recitals.
