About

“I enjoy unraveling legal challenges and providing clarity that empowers my clients. Ultimately, it's about being a trusted advisor, helping people move forward with confidence and assurance.”

– Brady Dunlop

A Baylor University graduate who went on to earn his law degree at the University of Houston Law Center, Brady Dunlop is a business attorney whose practice spans civil litigation, administrative and regulatory defense, and corporate law. He joined Hendershot Cowart P.C. in 2022 as a law clerk, drafting litigation and transactional documents and assisting with trial preparation, and joined the firm full-time in 2024. Marked by his professionalism and a dogged dedication to his clients, Brady has quickly become an integral part of the legal team at Hendershot Cowart.

Brady’s litigation practice covers a broad range of business disputes, including breach of contract and partnership disputes, business divorces and shareholder freeze-outs, trade secret and restrictive covenant litigation, and employment disputes. He also does substantial creditor-side work, from breach of guaranty and equipment finance claims through post-judgment enforcement and collection. He handles matters in both state and federal court, and has second-chaired bet-the-business cases alongside the firm's lead attorneys.

Alongside his litigation work, Brady maintains an active administrative and regulatory practice. He defends employers in OSHA investigations and citation proceedings, guides physicians, nurses, and other licensed professionals through licensing board investigations and disciplinary actions, and represents healthcare providers in Medicare and Medicaid recoupment, overpayment, and payment suspension appeals. These matters demand the same discipline as his courtroom work: thorough preparation, command of the governing regulations, and sound judgment about strategy.

On the corporate side, Brady advises businesses on entity formation, governance, and day-to-day contract matters, and he drafts and negotiates the agreements that carry those deals through. He also handles mergers and acquisitions, from letters of intent and due diligence through purchase agreements and closing, and has contributed to multi-million-dollar, high-stakes transactions for the firm’s business clients.

Brady was drawn to law because it allows him to solve complex problems while guiding clients through critical decisions.

“Each day brings a new set of challenges, whether it's negotiating a deal or untangling a legal issue, and I thrive on finding solutions that make a tangible difference for my clients.”

A true counselor to his clients, Brady not only strives to provide legal advice, but to also take on the role of a trusted advisor.

“My goal is to help clients navigate complex legal issues with clarity and confidence. I focus on making sure they fully understand their options and the potential outcomes, so they can make informed decisions. In essence, I strive to be both an advocate and a partner, ensuring that my clients feel supported and empowered throughout every stage of their legal journey.”

Outside the office, Brady enjoys weightlifting, playing golf, and cooking, and he is a ringer on the law firm’s sporting clays team.
