Marlana Armendariz

Marlana Armendariz is a litigation paralegal at Hendershot Cowart P.C. in Houston, Texas. She joined the firm in 2026 and has nearly eight years of experience in civil and probate litigation. Marlana supports attorneys on litigation, transactional, regulatory, and administrative law matters, from intake through trial. She prepares and files documents with courts and agencies, manages the docket calendar, coordinates discovery and depositions, and helps attorneys prepare for mediations, hearings, and trials.

Marlana knows clients often come to a law firm during some of the most important or stressful moments in their lives or businesses, and she works to make that process smoother for them. She’s also quick to pitch in when her colleagues need help during busy times. She enjoys taking something big and messy and making it organized.

Marlana earned a Bachelor of Applied Science and an Associate of Applied Science in Legal Support and Services from Purdue University Global. She is a Texas notary public and is fluent in Spanish. She was drawn to legal work by the chance to help people with things that really matter, and by the variety of cases, each of which brings something new to learn.

Outside of work, Marlana spends time with her three grown children and two grandchildren and is active in her church. She also enjoys couponing and thrifting.
