Patricia McDade
About
“My ability to see both sides of an argument helps me better counsel my clients. I can tell them, ‘Here’s worst case scenario, here’s best case, and here’s what we can probably get to for settlement purposes.’”
– Patricia McDade
Patricia McDade is a commercial litigation attorney who brings a unique perspective to complex business disputes through her background as a professional journalist. Before pursuing law, Patricia worked as a reporter and editor for several newspapers, including the Houston Chronicle community newspaper for The Woodlands and the Bryan-College Station Eagle. This experience developed her ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling narratives – a skill that now serves her clients in the courtroom and at the negotiating table.
Patricia’s litigation practice focuses on commercial disputes, business torts, real estate conflicts, and intellectual property matters. She has chaired trials, led temporary injunction hearings, and crafted successful appellate briefs in cases involving sophisticated commercial and statutory issues. Her approach combines meticulous legal research with strategic storytelling, enabling her to develop persuasive arguments that resonate with judges and juries.
“I’m very methodical,” she explains. “When preparing for trial, I want to make sure we have everything we need to prove our case and preserve issues for appeal if necessary.”
Patricia is also committed to keeping clients informed throughout the litigation process. She provides regular updates – even when there’s no major development – and makes herself available to answer questions and address concerns.
Patricia is originally from Northeast Texas and came to Houston for law school, drawn by the city’s legal opportunities and family support network. When not working on client matters, she enjoys reading, creative writing, and board game nights with friends.
