Victoria L. Johnson
About
"I believe that lawyers have a tremendous ability to help others and serve their communities." — Victoria J. Johnson
With degrees in marketing and law, Victoria J. Johnson brings a unique combination of business acumen and litigation experience to her practice at Hendershot Cowart P.C. She represents clients in complex business litigation, bankruptcy matters, and commercial disputes, with diverse case experience encompassing contract disputes, debt collections, breach of purchase agreements, fraud, and creditors’ rights.
Before joining Hendershot Cowart, Victoria served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Chief Judge Paul M. Black in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia. This clerkship provided her with invaluable insight into federal court procedures, creditor's rights, and the strategic considerations that drive successful litigation outcomes. During her clerkship, Victoria drafted judicial opinions and memoranda, reviewed complex motions and orders, and observed oral arguments in high-stakes bankruptcy proceedings.
Victoria's approach to legal practice is grounded in perseverance and relationship-building. She understands that successful representation requires not only legal expertise but also the ability to guide clients through challenging situations with clear communication and practical solutions.
Outside of her legal career, Victoria is an avid animal lover. She has five pets of her own – two dogs, one cat, and two guinea pigs – and she is a volunteer dog walker at a local shelter. Additionally, she routinely volunteers with Kids’ Meals, a Houston-founded organization devoted to feeding hungry children.
